Hey Buffalo, Cleve, Columbus, Chicago! The shows we’ve played in the last couple of months have been so much fun–and the response has felt so good. We’re feelin’ the love, y’all! This week we’ll be playing rescheduled dates for the shows we missed in June because of our covid cancellations; here’s the basic info–please check the “tour” page, as well as venue sites, for ticket links and other details:
Wednesday August 2 Sportsmens Tavern Buffalo, NY
Thursday August 3 Red Room House Concert Cleveland, OH
Friday August 4 Natalie’s Grandview Columbus, OH
Saturday August 5 FitzGerald’s Berwyn, IL
The FitzGerald’s show has been moved out to the patio, so tickets are no longer needed. But you might want to reserve a table. Follow this link , find the show on the cal, and you’ll be able to do just that. Showtime is 7 pm.
The Gloryland helicopter shirt is back in stock! Why the copter, you ask? For one reason, it shows up in the song Black Dog, from that album. Otherwise it plays to the dystopian vibes of the record, like in Nine Bells, and One I Love. Available in sizes S through 3x. Get ’em on my bandcamp site: https://kevingordon.bandcamp.com/merch
And thank you–every merch purchase puts gas in the tank and helps cover our lodging expenses when we’re out there touring.
This Rockin’ Life: I spent twelve hours last Saturday repairing our dryer. Armed with the right YouTube videos, I at least can proceed without the usual fear that comes from being completely clueless about what I’m doing. Fortunately it was a day where I could drop all else. And it did save us $200-300. The parts cost less than $70. A wasted day? I think not.
“How’s your health?” Been feeling good lately, though I’ve slacked off on the running because it’s so hot (and, because I’m not getting up early enough, to be honest).
Another CT scan coming in late August.
New Music: Still working on the track order for the new record. But I might have a title! To have even an idea for a title feels like a big step forward. I really believe Joe McMahan and I have made a very good record, maybe my best so far, and feel a big responsibility to get it out there in the world in the smartest ways possible. More about all this very soon . . .
Bandcamp Friday: This Friday, August 4, is another Bandcamp Friday–a day when Bandcamp waives their usual fees to help recording/touring folks like me come away from the transaction with a little more green. So check it out! Quite a few rarities in there on my site, along with the usual offerings. My BC site is: https://kevingordon.bandcamp.com
Thanks for your support–hope to see you in person soon!
