Had about as much fun as a man can have with his clothes on last night, playing Sam’s Town Point in (south) Austin. Thanks to Mike Stinson, Mark Riddell, and Lance Smith for morphing into my band for a while, and putting up with my sudden change(s) of game plan with complete grace and sublime skill. Directions to the venue were great: “go down this road til it curves to the left, then start looking over to the right: house, house, house, honky-tonk . . .”
