Happy Monday! Hope your weekend was good. I’ve had quite the Rolling Thunder Revue sorta thing going for the last 4 days. Such a great time playing shows with Todd Snider, Chuck Mead, and Elizabeth Cook, and bandmates Amanda Shires-Isbell, E-Mac, and the Grifter. No arrests, no fines. And the shows were all really fun; thank you Charlottesville, NYC, and Alexandria VA(Beltway-Land). I was a little under the weather at the Birchmere on Saturday, and it was one of those shows where the guitar just insists on going out of tune, the rental amp could’ve used a big dose of vacuum tube Viagra, and you can’t seem to put a rational sentence together for the sacred cause of witty between-song banter. But per usual, Birchmere folks, y’all sure were nice.

Got off the plane from Baltimore yesterday and went straight to bed. (Though I do remember my wife mentioning the idea of borrowing the neighbor’s Bobcat for some backyard landscaping work . . . um, that didn’t happen.) Now packing for SXSW in Austin, and some other southern dates beyond; back in the van tomorrow morning. Check the tour page, of course, for more info, but here’s what’s coming up this week:
