Happy December! Season’s Greetings and all that stuff. Today my team and I are very pleased to announce the Louisiana Swamp Stomp tour, with The Iguanas! Five shows in five days, to warm up your January in the Midwest! Here are the dates:
Tuesday 1/11 City Winery Nashville
Wednesday 1/12 Natalie’s Grandview Columbus, OH
Thursday 1/13 The Redmoor Cincinnati, OH
Friday 1/14 City Winery Chicago
Saturday 1/15 Off Broadway St. Louis
I’m really really looking forward to this! First string of shows on the road in two dang years! A cool co-bill and a fresh collaboration–not only will the Iguanas be playing their own set, they’ll also back me during mine. So hit up those venue/ticket links and we’ll see you there!
More big news:
1/I’m playing two shows this month:
Saturday December 4: the Bowery Vault, Nashville, w/Amelia White and Amy Speace. An experiment of sorts–we’ll be trading songs as well as poems/spoken word material. 5-6:45pm CST. Free to attend, though your generous tip jar deposits are most welcome!
Thursday December 16: Bluebird Cafe, Nashville; in the row w/my good friends Webb Wilder and Tommy Womack. 9 pm show. Tickets here: https://www.ticketweb.com/event/in-the-row-with-webb-the-bluebird-cafe-tickets/11551245
2/I’m making a new record!

KG, Josh Hunt, Ron Eoff, Joe McMahan, Fats Kaplin (Mid-session taco break)
Work continues on the follow-up to 2018’s Tilt and Shine. Sessions began November 8; we now have 12 new songs recorded. Stay tuned for details . . . .
3/My friend, the uber-talented Julie Christensen, has a new record coming out. And I wrote all the songs! (Well, there are some collaborators in there–) 11 From Kevin: Songs of Kevin Gordon, on Wirebird Records, drops January 21. To say I’m flattered and honored is a severe understatement. I’m still in disbelief! Glide magazine premiered her version of “Find My Way” on November 19. Check it out here–and you can pre-order the whole dang thing on her Bandcamp site: juliechristensen.bandcamp.com
Thanks for your support–I hope to see a lot more of you in 2022!
All the best,
Kevin
