I’m in a really rotten mood right now, which is great because the annual Americana Music Association Festival & Conference is happening right here in my town this week. The timing is perfect. Yes, that was a bit of humor. And I’ll come around, don’t worry. My blessings are many; my troubles are few, and all that stuff. Now, where’s that game face I was looking for . . . Speaking of blessings and good things, I want to extend a special thanks to my friends Van DeLisle, Sarah Potenza and Ian Crossman, and Lisa Lowenberg, for your extreme hospitality this past weekend. I had a great time in Chicago and in Riverside, Iowa. Made new friends; saw lots of old ones. Other good things: we’re up over the $6K mark in the funding campaign! Eternally grateful, I am. Thank you, sponsors. I’ve got three shows coming up in Nashville this week:
TODAY, 9/17: East X Americana, East-Centric Pavilion, 5:30-8pm. (KG at 7:30)
THURS, 9/19: Alternate Root East Nashville Detour show, The 5 Spot, 5-9pm. (KG at 6:30)
THURS, 9/19: Cornbread Nation show, The Family Wash. 8pm til ? (KG w/band, at 9:30)
During, and in between, I hope to bump into as many of you out-of-towners as possible. We really do appreciate you coming to see (and hear) us. Cheers to ya. I’m gonna go adjust my attitude now, maybe tear some shit up. See you soon!
Hi Kevin,
When are you coming back to North Carolina?
Rose
Hi Rose! Well, I’m overdue for the Carolinas–we’ll work on it!
